In supporting local tourism, the Krabi Provincial Administration Organization is planning to have a marina facility built at a public pier at Klong Jilad in Si Thai of Muang district. The KPAO president Somsak Kittitornkul expects the marina to be the biggest in Asia. So far he said about 5 investors, both from Thailand and overseas, expressed interest in the project, but much more detail needs to be worked out. Mr. Somsak however pointed out that more discussion and a proper project should be obvious later towards the year end of 2007
