Napasorn Kakhai, the head of the TAT’s office in Krabi is optimistic about Krabi’s high season this year. While the bookings are reported at around 90% of occupancy, just last Friday October 6th, One-Two-Go, a low cost airline, started its daily direct flight from Bangkok to Krabi.
Welcoming the new service, Napasorn thinks it will be another option for domestic travelers which are Krabi’s large market.
Currently Thai Airways and Air Asia are flying to Krabi, while the low cost Tiger Airways provides direct flights from Singapore to Krabi several times per week, increasing after 29 October.
Tiger Airways brings in many Australian holiday makers who transfers flights in Singapore.
Meanwhile for this upcoming high season, Finn Air from Helsinki and Nova Airlines from Stockholm will bring in 2 flights per week, while Russia’s Aeroflot is seeking permission to fly direct from Moscow to Krabi.
